I”m sure that I’m not the only blogger who has become completely disenchanted with their blog upon finding facebook right? It’s fun to share my pictures there where they can JUST be seen by family and friends.
So, what does this mean for the future of my blog? I have no idea, but I’m not ditching it yet! I really only ever considered it a place to share my simple kind of life with those who care. So, are there those who care that are not on facebook? I don’t think so….

First of all, it seems that after we come back from the cottage the kids play together so well and are much more content with just being at home. I love it. Makes me want to move up there
They haven’t asked to go anywhere in DAYS. The one time we did go somewhere Carter asked if we could just stay home, he had writing to do. I do love the way we slow down in the winter, even though it feel frantic and crazy from time to time….
Second, I saw a report on the news this morning (it was on only briefly, I HATE the news) that GM sales are down 31%. Hmmm..wonder why. Well I might be able to tell you why. Do they want the situation to be dire so they can get the funding they need? Who ultimately pays the price? Us, again. It’s so shitty that we have been loyal customers of GM for 6 years making reliable on time payments and now that our lease is coming up they won’t let us buy our car. Or lease another car. Even with a co singer. and a down-payment. What are they going to do with MY car? Why wouldn’t they just want to sell it to us instead of having it back? Aren’t they going to miss our monthly payments? And not just ours I’m sure. Should I even consider being loyal to US cars as I always have been after they did this to us? After they cut my Grandma’s benefits? Hmm…not leaving me with a warm and cozy feeling. So, we are yet again getting screwed by this crappy economy or the illusion of a crappy economy. I’m just pissed. I’m sure we would have been OK a year ago. Anyway, sort of not my usual blog topic.

The kids and I have been going to the park quite often in the afternoons. It’s been fun to re-discover some of our long ago forgotten favorite parks. It’s also quite fun to realise what different kids I have. Carter LOVES people and making friends (even if it’s only for playing with for a short while). He hangs out where ever the crowd is. He’ll play with 2 year olds or 10 year olds, whoever is there.
Skye on the other hand wants to be where everyone is NOT. She goes against the flow, doing her own thing. Just hanging with mommy is all she needs.
It’s fun to see just how different these two little souls can be!!
