Wow, we’ve been busy lately. Honestly, I always thought people were crazy to claim to be too busy. But we’ve made it!
I’m not going to bore you with all the details of what we’ve been up to. But I do want to put a plug in for google calender! I love that I can add my events to it and so can Paul. We each have our own color so we can easily see what the other is doing! Plus, it stores what I’ve done. So it’s a sort of time capsule as well! If I wonder, when was the last time we went to Farmington library? I can just look it up!
Here is our spring nature table

Egg Hunt at Great Grandma’s

Carter and Skye with their (most of) their cousins (we added another 2nd cousin to the mix this week! plus one more in Flordia. All MY cousins kids)

Kids went skating last week. We had a blast!

We had a visit with my Grandma

Auntie turned 25!

Did some geocaching

Had a great visit with Kazoo Grandmas!

Happy Easter

Finally today, we met some friends up at HFM for more bunny fun!

After being very sick for 5 days I called a friend to come over and take a look at Carter. She suggested we take him to the doctor. (I’m so bad at making such decisions) I called our family doc, but she was gone for the day at 1pm. I made an appointment for the next day, early, but I didn’t want to wait. See, I try to treat things at home first. With common sense, rest, nutritious foods, herbal medicines, but there is sometimes, that despite my son’s request, I can’t be the doctor.
So, I thought we’d try CVS’s minute clinic. I love that you can see exactly everything they treat and the price (for those not insured) on their site.
When we got there, there was no one else waiting in the small corner of the store. After a quick computerized self registration, we were brought into a small room.
There a very nice and friendly NP did a full check out of Carter. Very gentle, very nice, she took her time. No hurry, no rush, no other sick people around. It was SO easy!
Then she just sent our prescriptions to the pharmacy (our choice) and a note to our family doc’s office and we were on our way.
A few days later, Carter received a hand written post card and a sticker from the NP, thanking him for being a great patient and hoping he felt better!
They WANTED us there, it was different and rather nice!
I won’t go there for everything…but in the right situation it’s the perfect fit!

You know you go to Jungle Java too often when…
1. You have to bring books with you because the kids get bored from climbing.
2. You and your friends start calling it your ’second living room’.
3. You know the employees first names.
4. and their birthday’s.
5. You know songs by heart that you ONLY hear there.
6. You start timing when those songs are getting played because your pretty sure it’s at the same time everyday.
7. You know which chairs are the bad chairs’
8. And where to sit so you can be closest to the outlet to plug in the laptop, but still out of the way enough to hide the snacks you snuck in.
9. Employees remind YOU that your a member and can they please have your card?
10. The manage invites you to her wedding….ok, I’m totally joking. But we do go ALOT!

Skye told me the other day she wants to be a ‘cooker’ when she grows up. You know, like a cook or chef
Carter’s first wants to be was a car crusher. Think junk yard.
What was your kids first fantasy job?

I dropped a kitchen aid bowl on my foot. Then Skye drops her clankity doll on it too. Next a can of beans smashes my finger (it hurts to type!). I washed and dried a stick. We left a bag at Meijers, the most expensive bag we had, full of lunch meat and stuff. Luckily they are replacing it for free! I’m ready for bed.

You only turn 3 once
We had a great couple of days!

Skye first woke to a room FULL of balloons with 3’s all over them.

She had a few presents and cards to open.

She choose breakfast and we sang to her. After some time to play with her new things, we found her a very pretty, very big purple dress to wear to church. On the way we listened to all the birthday songs we owned. Skye was so pleased with this
At church her Kazoo Grandma’s where there waiting in surprise! There was even cake at church on her birthday!
Then off to the mall, where there were MORE presents and we had lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. Skye was a hot fudge ice cream for dessert.

Build a Bear was next. Skye choose a Hello Kitty and a few goodies to go with it.
After we said our goodbye’s to all the Grandma’s and Aunt Monique and Brain, we went home for some rest time. It was a great day!

You’d think the birthday celebrations would be over right? The next day we met her friends at Jungle Java, we played for a bit, then headed home for lunch and birthday cupcakes with our friends!

Happy birthday sweet girl! I hope the day was very special for you!!
